Since more than a year I’m using my KVM VPS at MVPS.net and I’m really happy with it. The price is €3,-/month or €28,80/year.

For that price you get:

  • 1 CPU core
  • 2GB RAM
  • 25GB SSD
  • 1 IPv4 address
  • 3TB bandwidth/month
  • IPv6
  • EU server locations (NL, DE, GB, FR, SP etc)

More than enough for my purposes and really low downtime. A bit more RAM would be nice at the moment. If you want to run a mailserver on your VPS, it’s no problem, rDNS (reverse DNS) is supported.

I’m running Debian 10 on it and next to some websites a VPN server, which I’m using to make a public IP address for my house. We’ve a LTE internet connection with CGNAT and not possible to reach our house directly to our home IP address. I’m using the public IP address of the VPS for that. How I did that, you can read here Port forward behind NAT or CGNAT
